Once the leak tester is connected to one of the cylinders, compressed air (45-100psi) enters that particular cylinder through the built-in pressure regulator. Diagnosis is performed by observing the amount of leakage displayed on the cylinder leak meter and listening to the amount of leakage at various points in the vehicle system. Please note:This cylinder leak detector is not applicable to shallow cylinders.
